At Cabanon-Remise A9, we bring back to life what people thought they'd have to throw away: a rotten shed floor, a leaning storage shed, a deck that's seen better days. We're looking for a tradesperson in exterior carpentry who can spot what's structural and loves a job well done.

Your trade
What you do
- Assess on site and price the project in the app
- Rebuild a shed floor: lifting, concrete blocks on compacted ground, pressure-treated joists, plywood; level a shed that leans
- Redo the roof (shingles, panels), the siding (vinyl, steel, wood), the corners and the trim
- Replace shed doors and windows
- Repair decks, balconies and stairs: boards, stringers, steps, posts, railings; sand and stain
- Repair fences: posts, sections, gates
- Occasionally: a shed base, a pergola, a poured concrete floor

A typical project
A shed floor, from A to Z
The project we're asked for most often. An example from our real jobs: every backyard has its surprises.
You go see the shed, check what's rotten or sagging and send your quote from the app.
You remove the old floor and handle the debris.
You lift the shed and prepare the ground, well compacted.
4×4 concrete blocks so the shed stays level for good.
Pressure-treated joists, ¾" plywood, then you close up the perimeter.
You clean up and take your photos in the app. You create your invoice on site in the Beau-frère à louer app and hand it to the client.

You create your quote and your invoice on site in the Beau-frère à louer app and hand it to the client. The office handles the follow-up.
A seasonal trade, and we'll be upfront about it
Most of the demand comes from May to September. That's when the work is at its busiest.
In winter, we plan work for you: for example with the Pro team, or on the bathrooms the division also does. We talk about it openly at the interview.
Who it's for
You're the right person if…
- You have several years in the trade in carpentry or exterior framing
- You have an eye for what's structural: rot, sagging, levelling
- You know how to price a job and present it honestly to the client
- You're independent and organized: often, the client isn't on site
- You enjoy physical work, outdoors
- You have your own tools and a valid driver's licence
The CCQ card
A plus (carpenter-joiner), not a requirement.
It isn't required for an owner who lives in their house, even for a storage shed. It is required for some work: a rental building, a condo. Knowing when a municipal permit is needed, and knowing the rules for pool fences, are a plus.
